How to install a muzzle brake or flash hider

Brownells demonstrates how to install a muzzle brake or flash hider on your rifle.

WARNING: Do not disassemble or reassemble a firearm unless you are absolutely certain that it is empty and unloaded. You must visually inspect the chamber, the magazine and firing mechanism to be absolutely certain that no ammunition remains in the firearm. You should always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when disassembling and reassembling a firearm.

  1. Jody says:

Simply pull up on the adjustment lever after it has traveled as far as it can when you push down on the other end of the lever (like you do for normal adjustment) and slide it off.
The locking pin needs to be lifted high enough to clear the stop.
