The 15-22 Extractor plunger and spring 3 piece kit is the best on the market. Absolutely unmatched in every way. The profile of the Tailhook Extractor has been enhanced from the stock shape to provide a strong, aggressive hook, which holds onto the rim of the cartridge for extremely positive extraction.

Extra clearance has been added to prevent the build-up common in some .22LR ammo, which reduces overall effectiveness.

The tip of the “hook” pushes against the cartridge and down on the rim to hold it in place during ejection. The leading edge has been manufactured to not hit the extractor cut-out in the breech, and does not move away from the rim, unlike the suboptimal ones from the factory or from other manufacturers.

Our 15-22 Extractor is wire EDM cut from the finest non-rusting knife steel available. They are then heat-treated to maximize the properties of the metal and ensure that the critical edge does not dull.

It also has an exclusive plunger pivot action, which reduces the force needed to slip over a round when it’s placed in the chamber by hand.

    Added this extractor kit to my rifle after I noticed the original unit was not holding the shells hard enough and failure to pull rounds from chamber were jamming gun. I installed this spring , plunger, and extractor to the BCG now the rifle is throwing the spent cases with ease.
    Nice little upgrade to fix a simple problem.

Remove the factory pieces if they have not already left on their own accord. Which is probably why you're buying this kit. Insert the spring first Insert the plunger with one of the flats facing the outside of the bolt Push the plunger back with a toothpick or some other convenient tool Drop the extractor into position. The "thumb" goes into the drilled hole and the knife edge of the extractor goes into the face of the bolt. Let the plunger move forward until it lock the plunger into position. Test movement of the assembly. Do not lube.
