Note: This REQUIRES PERMANENT modification to the lower of your S&W M&P15-22.
Remove the upper from your home or building where you will do the work before doing any modification

You will need hacksaw, wood rasp and three drill bits 1/8″ 5/32″ and 3/16″

After you cut off the “buffer tube” you will need the wood rasp to file the face down and flat. Install the adapter and using the existing holes as guides, drill the small 1/8″ hole that’s off to the side all the way through. Drill the center hole with the 5/32″ bit all the way through. Remove adapter, drill center hole larger with the 3/16″ bit.
Install roll pin in the adapter till 3/16″ is sticking out. Use the 3/16 drill as a gauge.
Clear the back of the bolt rails (the plastic part) to clear the head of the screw.
Install adapter, Screw in keeper screw. Install side folder and stock. THEN and only after you have the stock installed can you can put your upper back on.
